Sprintax's staffs are lack of knowledge and experience with tax filing. Each support agent answers to the same questions differently. I contacted them once and did as they advised then mailed my tax returns. Later I found out that information seems wrong. I contacted them again and they gave me a different answer (this time it's correct). They said that they don't have my previous live chat records and won't take responsibility. It turns out that they intentionally hide the option to send chat transcripts automatically to avoid having records and can get away with their mistakes.

I was very dissatisfied with the service overall. For someone new to filing taxes in the US, Sprintax is not the appropriate option- their website assumes you already know the details of the tax structure. Their chat function was unhelpful too. I received preset answers that did not cover my questions adequately. They took over 6 weeks to prepare my state taxes, and did not offer a timeline for how long the process would take.
Sprintax was easy to use and straightforward. In my case I only had to pay one month of taxes from my payrolls, I hope that next year when my situation is more complex, it is as easy as it was this year.
Great website to file your taxes. Was easy and convenient to understand the steps.
First time filing tax by myself and the agent, Nathan, was so patient and knowledgeable! Somewhere in software could have a better explanation so that we didn't have to rely on live chat that much especially for an international student who has so many exceptions

Online chat agent from 12/14/2020 at about 3:30pm was very unhelpful, vague and very condescending when answering my question. Instead of simply answering my question, "Chris" repeatedly told me to "read the instructions" and all I needed to do was already in the instructions. Would definitely NOT recommend this tax service to any non-Americans who are unfamiliar with the American tax system. I have had so many issues with how my taxes were prepared that they were returned to me several times for missing information and the online agent was useless in assisting to resolve the problem. Would definitely NOT recommend Sprintax to friends/family. What a hassle. Never again. 0/5 stars.
